Who can see your viewing activity?
Right Cindy - the moving pieces, and that people can self-select into those groups.
Kenny if you can see this do you want to be a panelist?
Hi, just a reminder from the beginning of the meeting — if there are Public Schools of Brookline educators or staff and you’d like to be a panelist (to join the conversation fully), please just let me know and we would be very happy to have you!
Yes, totally agree- teachers have always been invited & added to the panel when present, but the numbers have been low. would love to have more representation.
You should be able to share but I will make you a co-host just in case, ok?
Is this with masks?
I think the main difference with this respiratory virus is the age-risk profile being lower in kids
yes. My point is that there is nothing unusual about “droplet transmission” as we are using this term here.
Agree, and even then, you aren't "hopping up" to high risk lines on that graph in schools as long as measures are in place and no one symptomatic is there and community rates are as described
I was asked about Dave’s comment indicating that the BEU was invited to participate in the Panels. Please see link for more information and context: https://brookline.massteacher.org/2020/04/15/beu-letter-on-the-school-committee-task-force-on-covid-19-learning-goals/
Would want to hear from teachers what they need from us though instead of assuming
Thanks @Kenny. Do we know how many unique children that is? (Is each one of the 23 class periods unique or does that include one classroom visited twice? I assume unique but I wanted to double check before assuming). Also do we know the inside/outside breakdown of those 23? Thanks!
not at all- very much want to do that, have tried to say that from the starting. but can't do it without knowing what to focus on
we need direct teacher input
