could brookline use CPA money to buy field space? Also, is there space for a field at Fischer Hill ? With a climate crisis upon us, losing any open space to plastic grass is unwise - think photosynthesis, carbon sequestration, etc.! Our temperatures are rising - need less heat island, not more.
Clint Richmond
There are turf institutes. Andy is referring to the Chip Osborne and his company.
Deane Coady
Chip Osborne of Marblehead has had great success with organically managed natural grass fields with up to 1,000 hours of use. TURI (toxics usage reduction institue) at U Lowell has several best practice examples with Chip Osborne's assistance: Springfield, Marblehead, Martha's Vineyard.

it does not directly address the harms of artificial turf, but there does exist the opportunity for the Advisory Council on Public Health to lobby for an increase in athletic facility inBrookline by calling for use of newly acquired land by purchase of Newbury College property.
