@Charlie Homer. in an effort to give you information, Leigh Jackson with Recreation is here to answer questions. We are able to use synthetic 3x more than natural turf. On our few synthetic fields do allow for year round recreation and resting fields.

Concord is following two 3-year moratoria with a 5-year moratorium. But WA24 is still 3 years.

As an ID doc, I can attest to the MRSA issues. The turf companies now recommend treating the turf with biocides, but that has trade offs as well.

To Len's point regarding a sand-based field with a sophisticated drainage system, I can confirm that is what is currently being built at Cypress Field. (Alexandra Vecchio, Director of Parks and Open Space-DPW)

I think that the new field at Cypress would be a good model for the Driscoll field.

One other note- we can turn a synthetic turf field into grass and we can turn a grass field into synthetic turf. Both come with a price, but did want to clarify that point. (Director of Parks & Open Space)

As I shared with Sigalle, we did have a conversation with Dr. Jett about education two years ago. This have been discussed for some time with Planning and Econ. Dev., which is why we eliminated salons.
